Our Story
Leadership Military Academy formerly Riverside County Education Academy (RCEA) was founded in 2011 by Mr. Kenn Young, former Riverside County Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Young’s vision was to provide an academy for all students who wanted to be a part of a military-themed school, no exclusions. The first day of school in 2011 began with three students in Moreno Valley. The student population quickly grew and continues to grow every year. In 2015, LMA opened a second school in Indio for students in the Coachella Valley.
Leadership Military Academy (LMA) is built on the foundation of Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships. LMA prides itself on preparing students for graduation, college career, and post-secondary options. Staff instills leadership principles in all students to help them become responsible, accountable, and the ability to work together with others to accomplish goals and tasks. LMA’s small school environment allows students and families the opportunity to be connected and part of LMA’s family environment. The staff understands that successful school and family relationships are crucial in the education of all students. Our staff are dedicated to their student’s education and success and are accessible for any questions, concerns or compliments.
We are proud to serve the educational needs of our students and being part of the fiber in the communities in which we serve.
